About Five Cats and Counting

Hello! My name is Jasmine, and I am the human behind Five Cats and Counting. As the name suggests, I have five cats, though the chances of a sixth always remain high.

I have loved cats my whole life and am dedicated to learning as much as I can about them. I am also currently seeking my degree in English in the hopes of advancing my writing skills. My goal is that through this blog I can share my love and knowledge of cats with others. But enough about me, what about the cats!? Well, I would love to introduce you!

First up is Mavis Davis Cow, my second cat, who I adopted when she was about six months old. She is currently five years old, making her my oldest, and her favorite activity is eating. I seriously believe she would eat until she exploded if allowed. She has many nicknames, including May, Jelly Roll, and Momma May.

Next is Luna Loaf, my first cat, whom I adopted when she was only two months old. She is also currently five years old, though she is two months younger than Mavis. Her favorite pastime is cuddles and naps with Mom, and if she had her way, I would never leave the house.

This cute blonde boy is Freyr Fennec, my third cat, whom I also adopted when he was two months old. He was so tiny—not that you would know that by looking at him now! He is currently four years old and convinced that his true mother is Mavis.

This is my trouble child, Nova Lynn, the fourth cat I adopted. She was four months old and was the first cat I adopted with my fiancé. She is currently three years old and loves to play, especially at three in the morning. She is also the first cat I have had that enjoys going for walks!

Finally, we have Cinder Spice, the baby of the family. I adopted him when he was two months old, and he was instant chaos. Currently, he is about seven months old and full of kitten energy. He loves to play with anything and everything and has recently been going on car rides and loving it.
